Paula Mills
Ms. Paula Mills is the CEO and Founder of the Academy of Entrepreneurs which is an entrepreneurial business school and incubator that empowers students with the entrepreneurial skills to set up, launch, and scale businesses both in Australia and around the world. In running the Academy of Entrepreneurs, Ms. Mills has taught and presented subjects with various partners such as Nobel Prize Winner Professor Muhammad Yunus, Google, Microsoft, HSBC, Huawei, and the United Nations. She has also presented for the Australian Government, the Brazilian Government, the Colombian Government, the Chilean Government, the French Government, the Malaysian Government, Peru Government, and the Philippine Government. Since 2016, Ms. Mills and the Academy of Entrepreneurs has been disrupting the education industry.
Ms. Mills has taught classes in the areas of Social Business, Branding and Public Relations, Business Models, Community Engagement and Social Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship Teacher Training, Marketing for Startups, Finance for Startups, Project Management for Startups, and Emotional Intelligence. Since 2016, Ms. Mills and the Academy of Entrepreneurs has been disrupting the education industry by empowering students from 50+ nationalities with entrepreneurial skills.
Ms. Mills was also the founder and former CEO of PR2 which is a public relations startup that strategically aligns clients to new customers by connecting them to PR2’s international network and media contacts. She also served as the Head of Pathways & Partnerships at Laureate International Universities. Ms. Mills was also the Partnerships and External Relations Manager at MEGT Ltd. In Australia. On top of these, she also served as a mentor at the University of Technology Sydney & Google Startup Week 2018.
For her work, Ms. Mills received various awards and recognitions such as the Silver Award Best RoadShow from Easter Show in 2007, the International Above & Beyond customer service recognition award from Marriott International in 2008, the International Local Knowledge Expertise award from Marriott International in 2009, the Rotary Australian Award in 2011, placing second in the Business of the Year award from AUBRBC in 2018, and the ABALC Business of Year award for Academy of Entrepreneurs in 2019.
Ms. Mills graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Communications from the University of Technology Sydney. She then took a Master of International Relations degree at Macquarie University.
Ms. Mills will be virtually deployed at Caraga State University and at the Technological Institute of the Philippines for the 2020 Visiting Professors activity. For 2023, Ms. Mills will be virtually deployed to the University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City.
