Russ Neu

Russ Neu is the CEO and Founder of Social Collider which is a collaborative, co-working, and co-innovation space for impact organizations in the heart of Singapore's technology ecosystem. Mr. Neu won the Global Ambassador Award from the Singapore International Foundation for his impact on the youths and sustainability for running the Social Collider. Mr. Neu is an Associate Director for Impact Initiatives at Quest Ventures which is a leading venture fund for technology companies that have scalability and replicability in large internet communities.

Mr. Neu was formerly the Global Inclusion Manager at Flex Manufacturing International where he championed diversity and inclusion strategies to build solutions for the company and society. Flex is one of the world’s largest solution providers that designs and builds products for smarter living. Mr. Neu was responsible for crafting and executing programs for the company and society at large. With more than a decade of personal focus on social good, Mr. Neu increased the hire of persons with disabilities from 5 to 350 in Zhuhai, China. He also led the Flex staff to build schools in Nepal and Laos through pioneering service-learning projects as part of staff development. It is estimated that 4,000 villagers and school children were directly impacted through the buildings and another 2,000 more were indirectly impacted through book donations and teacher training.

Mr. Neu also served as a Research Associate at the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University. He was also the former Subject Head of Pastoral Care and Character Education at the Ministry of Education in East Spring Secondary School. During his time at the Ministry of Education, he was seconded to Laos as part of a Singapore International Foundation program to improve access to education for senior public officials. He also initiated the Laos-Singapore Charity Run in Vientiane.

In 2012, Mr. Neu published a book on his Laotian experiences titled, A Whole Neu World. Then he published, “It Made A Difference To This One,” in 2018 which is a book about an NGO that has helped more than 20,000 children impacted by AIDS in China.

Mr. Neu obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Social Science in Psychology and Sociology degree from the National University of Singapore. Then he was a Korea Development Bank scholarship recipient for his MBA with specialization in sustainability from Tsinghua University in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he graduated as the class valedictorian. 

Mr. Neu was virtually deployed to Central Philippine University and Mariano Marcos State University for the 2020 Visiting Professors activity. This 2023, Mr. Neu will be deployed to Sulu State College in Jolo, Sulu and University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan, Cotabato.
